Pat Venditte dominates in MLB debut

Ambidextrous pitcher Pat Venditte had a solid first outing by switch pitching in the major leagues on Friday June 5, 2015. Venditte threw two scoreless frames in relief for the Oakland Athletics facing some good Boston Red Sox batters.

Previously, Venditte was pitching in relief for the Nashville Sounds - AAA Oakland affiliate team. For the past seven season, he was a very reliable switch pitcher in the New York Yankees organization - making to AAA. In college, Pat Venditte switch pitched for the Creighton Blue Jays.

On June 5th 2015, lots of news stories were posted on the web and thousands of Tweets and Facebook posts talked about the historic day of Venditte switch pitching in a major league game.

It was a great day for baseball and very exciting time for future ambidextrous pitchers.
