Brandon McBane was mainly a catcher in high school, so he throws well from the right side, but he needs more work on his mechanics to master pitching left-handed. McBane also plays first base left-handed.

McBane was listed as a pitcher and utility player for Central Christian College in McPherson, Kansas. 

Brandon McBane has since transferred to Crown College in Minnesota where he is a catcher. (see comment below)

    Brandon has since transferred to Crown College in Minnesota and was recently clocked in the 91-94 range right handed and 85-89 left handed. But do to his ability behind the plate he's become an everyday starter either catching or at first and is rarely used on the mound.
