Ambidextrous pitcher Pat Venditte had a solid first outing by switch pitching in the major leagues on Friday June 5, 2015. Venditte threw two scoreless frames in relief for the Oakland Athletics facing some good Boston Red Sox batters.
Previously, Venditte was pitching in relief for the Nashville Sounds - AAA Oakland affiliate team. For the past seven season, he was a very reliable switch pitcher in the New York Yankees organization - making to AAA. In college, Pat Venditte switch pitched for the Creighton Blue Jays.
